Shabu Shabu
Jag har märkt, och säkert du som läser också, att det blivit en hel del skrivande om mat hittils :P Vet inte riktigt varför det blivit så…maten lämnar ändå ett häftigt intryck och det är lätt att kameran kommer fram då man sitter och äter. Ska försöka variera mig lite mer framöver, men räkna med att det blir en del häftiga maträtter även i fortsättningen ;)
Igår var vi på bio och såg Inglorious Basterds, en riktigt skön film. Biografen vi besökte var på en helt annan nivå än vad jag besökt tidigare. Aldrig suttit igenom en hel film utan att tänka på att jag sitter i en biosalong. Här var det bara att luta sig tillbaka och njuta av filmen. Igår var också första dagen med regn jag upplevt i Taiwan. När det regnar här så regnar det verkligen ordentligt! Dels börjar det helt utan förvarning och försvinner lika snabbt, men då det kommer så öser det verkligen ner. Såg nyss på nyheterna att en mindre tyfon är på väg på Taiwan nu. Tidigare hade jag nog sagt att det ska bli häftigt att uppleva, men med tanke på den fruktansvärda storm som nyligen drabbade Taiwan känns det inte alls lika spännande. Många som blev otroligt svårt drabbade av den stormen. Kände mig nästan lite rörd då vi härom dagen åkte buss förbi Taipei 101 och jag ser den enorma texten som står högt uppe i skyn, skapad med hjälp av byggnadens fönster, “Kämpa på, Taiwan”.
Idag är det 11 månader sedan jag och Sabrina träffades, så jag försökte mig på att köpa en bukett blommor i en butik där de inte pratade ett ord engelska. Det var lite arbete att få dem att förstå, men till slut kom jag därifrån med en fin bukett rosor i alla fall.
Lägg märke till Hello Kitty och Doraemon i bakgrunden. De kom med lägenheten ;)
För att fira gick vi till en “Shabu Shabu” restaurang där man beställer in råvaror och har en liten kastrull med kokande soppa inbyggd i bordet där man kokar sin mat själv. När jag säger råvaror menar jag det i ordets rätta bemärkelse. De två små räkorna på bilden nedan försökte bokstavligt talat hoppa iväg från tallriken de låg på. Musslorna kikade också ut ur sina skal ibland.
Tur att räkorna satt fast på pinnen, annars skulle de ha stuckit från bordet.
