Fötterna på jorden och magen full

Äntligen är jag här! Känns så fantastiskt efter att ha planerat och längtat efter denna resa i så många månader.

Resan gick relativt smärtfritt, att studsa mellan flygplatser i runt 20 timmar gör så klart att man känner sig något mörbultad men alla sådana känslor försvann då jag steg av planet i Taipei. Efter ett par försök (glömde fylla i lite papper) lyckades jag ta mig igenom pass-kontrollen och mötte upp med Sabrina som stod och väntade, något jag gått och drömt om i runt 4 månader vid det här laget.

Då jag kom fram vid lunch så hade vi nästan en hel dag framför oss. Vi åkte först till vår fina lilla lägenhet nära National Taiwan Normal University (bilder på lägenheten finns på Facebook så sparar mig besväret att lägga upp här också). Första intrycket av Taiwan var att det är helt overkligt varmt, känns som man sprungit in i en vägg då man varit utan AC för länge. Som tur är så har vi det i lägenheten och även de flesta butikerna har det så man kan “shop-hoppa” från AC till AC då det är för varmt. Vi tog en lunch på en restaurang nära lägenheten som bjöd på en riktigt god kycklingsoppa.

Första måltiden blev en lokal kycklingsoppa, kanongod men klurig att äta.

Spenderade sedan dagen med att upptäcka området kring lägenheten, vandrade omkring och passade på att köpa allt som jag självklart glömde packa (dusch-handuk för att nämna en sak av flera). Vi satte oss sedan och tog middag på en supermysig Japansk resaturang som definitivt satte ribban högt för kommande måltider här.

Maten är kort sagt inte att klaga på! Har dock packat ett par kaviartuber som nog kan komma till pass.

Somnade gott in efter första dagen, och sov cirkus 14 timmar innan dag 2 påbörjades.
